As the team lead, you will collaborate with fellow cloud engineers and infrastructure specialists to develop and maintain our cloud based infrastructure and solutions. Your primary focus will be design, development and deployment of cloud products and services to support a diverse range of applications, as well as provide guidance and direction to your colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.
The products and services utilise cutting edge cloud technologies and best practices, including managing the lifecycle and security across several applications.

The ideal candidate for the Cloud Engineer Team Lead position is proficient in both cloud engineering and software development. You should have either an academic background or work experience in computer science or similar related fields, with a strong understanding of cloud systems, as well as experience in leadership and team coordination. A strong practical familiarity with cloud solutions analysis, design, and operation for critical applications is essential.

Our team operates in a highly international environment, located in Amsterdam North. Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite, and proficiency in the Dutch language is a definite advantage. 3-5 years relevant professional work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working with Linux (Unix) systems, scripting (Bash/Python) and version control (Git)
Strong skills in infrastructure as code (IaC), preferably Terraform
Experience in managing containers (Docker), Kubernetes clusters and its ecosystem
Experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing applications on cloud based infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud (GCP and GKE)
Proficient in using GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and repository management
Troubleshooting and analytical skills
Fluency in English
Experience in IT automation tools (Ansible)
Previous experience in VPN Solutions, including IPSec, Wireguard
Experience using Identity Providers (Keycloak), and Secret management tools (HashiCorp Vault)
Management of time-series and relational databases (Influx + Postgres)
Experience in monitoring and visualization tools (Prometheus + Grafana)
Previous experience in using Kubernetes package management tools (Helm)
