Project Engineer

Great news - we are looking for you for our new role: Project Engineer.

THE ROLE

As our new Project Engineer you:

• Manage the onboarding process of assets. During that process, assets, like batteries, e-boilers, transformers, meters, and SCADA systems are integrated with our software platforms.

• Collaborate closely with control engineers and software developers to identify and fix bugs.

• Provide feedback and specifications to product owners for product improvements.

• Learn project management skills as part of our technical project management team.

• Will use your technical expertise to integrate new assets and protocols with our software solutions.

• Support clients and their partners with setting up VPN IT connections to our cloud.

• Communicate with all kinds of stakeholders about the onboarding of assets. Internally, that’s project management, the product & tech team, etc. Externally, those stakeholders are our clients, partners, OEMs, and suppliers.

• Help clients use our products, if necessary.

• Support our clients to monitor their assets and our software solutions.

• Write test plans and reports to integrate and qualify new assets.

• Configure the Spectral Energy Management System hardware, including the operating system, VPN, data logger, and controller.

• Travel, if necessary, to our client locations (within the Netherlands) to integrate and test assets.

• Communicate consistent updates to internal and external stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

• Measure the results of the onboarding of projects and identify possible improvements in process and product.

ABOUT YOU

You are an engineer who holds a special place in their heart for sustainability and who is looking for a new challenge.

Must-haves

• Technical background, minimal HBO

• Skills in at least two of these industries:

1. (energy) system integration

2. smart grids

3. (renewable) energy (storage)

4. control & automation

5. software engineering

6. ICT systems

• Proven ability to solve problems creatively

• You are familiar with various protocols, such as Modbus, OPC, IEC104, REST

• Excellent analytical skills–you can see the difference between the main message and the noise surrounding it

• Strong social skills, whether your conversation partner is your colleague, a customer, or a partner company

• You can tackle multiple complex projects at the same time

• You speak and write fluent English (the working language in the office is English)

Nice-to-haves

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience

• WO thinking level (technical direction)

• Competent in at least one programming language

• You speak and write fluent Dutch (our customers are mainly located in The Netherlands)
